So its been a while since we have put anything up on here because well we are busy but here is my initial review on death stranding the directors cut.
I'm about 6ish hours in to the game and I have to say I am genuinely loving it, I've been playing it on an old ASUS gaming laptop with a 1060 and even on that its running good 95% of the time without making a single change to the settings but it looks amazing which is why I haven't touched it.
The game play so far is incredible and fluid and very natural feeling to play (I'm playing with controller) the cut scenes and story can be a little much if you just want to get in and explore and the crazy attack of the black oily ooze whales and squids and everything is confusing as fuck to navigate but its still fun... it is one of the first games I've played in a while that gets even close to that tense feeling I get from playing last of us.
for that reason it is a game ill likely play on and off rather that putting days of play into it.
we don't do a rating system of any sort the game is either great, good, meh or shit and this one so far is a solid good. heading for a great if things keep going as they are. there are some awesome little flickers of fun in it too. go to the toilet and the screen pops up with an add for a TV show Norman Reedus (your character) is in.
one thing I do find annoying but I think its just a me personally thing is all the hologram people that pop up when you make you deliveries. I get sick of it then skip through it and don't hear what they had to say.
Hideo Kojima is one strange motherfucker though.... this games art and concept is amazing and messed up and confusing and incredible all at once... I didnt really grasp why the cover art included a small baby then when you are playing the game it turns out you walk around with an unborn fetus on your chest. ... Play the game and it will sort of maybe make some sense.. but not at all at the same time.
its so worth playing though.
